Just poking a little fun because your team got sent packing with a record of more zero's than any AC campaign cost? haha

Who cares if they're shopping the event? They shopped it around pre this cycle as well, they had a back up plan for Italy, if Auckland for some reason, couldn't host, yet here we are watching the event in Auckland. If they're shopping it around, I say go for it. Obviously ACC isn't willing to shell out money in the Covid era, so go get that leverage from where ever you can I say.

The only thing you hope, is the same thing you've hoped for from the start. That NZ loses, Dalton is sacked, Foiling monohulls go away and campaign costs are capped.

Just because they're shopping it, doesn't mean it won't be in Auckland right? So what's the issue?

There is no issue. So no matter how long and often you shout "They're shopping it around" it doesn't matter, so move on.
Fun stat for the day, the only team to beaten in an official race senario by AM is... ETNZ lol

means fuck all but in the eventuality that NZ complete the final unbeaten  then the only loss they have on their record in an AC 75 will be to AM

Who knows why Pietro Sibello is changing position on LR after the manoeuvres? Instinctively I would say that it makes more sense to swap positions before, as Ineos' trimmer does, so he can see and trim the main sail  while manoeuvring...
They've tried a bit of both.

I guess the first way need less pre tack warning. The later allows full concentration in the build post tack.

During manoeuvres the helm had control of the traveller, which is enough to keep the boat level through the turn. PS probably puts sail depth and twist to some preset power settings before switching sides and then can trim for less drag and optimum settings after the boat is back to speed.

Amazing how clearly you can see the entire outer wing ventilate at least half the time when sailing upwind with the big cant angles.  With the big orange tips breaking the surface :p

After having witnessed Sir Ben almost swiped overboard can we finally say that two helmsmem is better? It is better than zero helsmen for sure.
Been watching Black Sails got me thinking maybe it was Giles that instigated that manoeuvre.
