Luna Rossa Challenge. AC 36

I really like James Spithill in this Campaign. The Luna Rossa team approach is evident in him too. And not being so exposed to media and responsibility outside the water allows him to concentrate on sailing, a thing that he does magnificently. His sailing connection with his co-helmsman Francesco is getting better and better, with the precious help of Pietro Sibello. He loves sailing, competing and the America's Cup. When was hired by LR Team he accepted a totally different salary compared to the Oracle standards and said he could have come even for free.

At the end of the day... FORZA LUNA, FORZA JIMMY

The LR team are working well together now.

However, I really hope LR don't win "7 none".

Otherwise my betting opponent might claim the Prada Cup was "stolen", and refuse to pay up. :p

Just poking a little fun because your team got sent packing with a record of more zero's than any AC campaign cost? haha

Who cares if they're shopping the event? They shopped it around pre this cycle as well, they had a back up plan for Italy, if Auckland for some reason, couldn't host, yet here we are watching the event in Auckland. If they're shopping it around, I say go for it. Obviously ACC isn't willing to shell out money in the Covid era, so go get that leverage from where ever you can I say.

The only thing you hope, is the same thing you've hoped for from the start. That NZ loses, Dalton is sacked, Foiling monohulls go away and campaign costs are capped.

Just because they're shopping it, doesn't mean it won't be in Auckland right? So what's the issue?

There is no issue. So no matter how long and often you shout "They're shopping it around" it doesn't matter, so move on.
Just curious mate, what are the rumours around choice of boat if LR were to win? Are they saying they'll stay with foilers?

If you win a cup on this boat it means you're the best, ATM, with this technology. I think nobody is going to give away an advantage like this. IMHO

I wonder if the LRPP set-up and Jimmy would keep it all together when chopped in the box, or passed on the course?

Hopefully, INEOS will get close enough, so we can find out.

If that were the case this cup would be in beach cats.
Remember that last cycle ETNZ was actually ETNZ+LRPP, so both of them had to came to an agreement. Bertelli was radical on the monohulls (they also was pushing for non-foiling) and the rest has been basically on ETNZ.
Also consider that the two teams were sharing the technology involved, so no actual advantage for one team on the other.
