Let's get back to normality and lower the tension. :)

The Italians are coming,  but everybody is invited!

This is the "semola rimacinata di grano duro" (re-milled durum wheat semolina) I was talking about:

This is the machine:

And this is the result:

MALTAGLIATI (it means roughly-cut) ideal in a soup with beans

And tagliolini:

Recipe on demand :)
I ran out of likes, therefore: like.

Is this a fake news? Prada Cup, New Zealand asks for a penalty for Luna Rossa!

https://www.oasport.it/2021/02/prada-cup-new-zealand-chiede-una-penalita-per-luna-rossa-e-ineos-per-allenamenti-coordinati-e-american-magic/?refresh_ce

The tension, however, is very high and an incredible request for a penalty made by Team New Zealand, the Defender of the America's Cup, who is waiting for the winner of the match between Luna Rossa and Ineos, is also holding up.

The hosts do not like "coordinated training" between the various crews, that is, they do not want two teams to work together, for example, to evaluate the set-up and measure their speeds. As reported by New Zealand newspaper Stuff, Team New Zealand wanted the arbitration panel to provide guidelines on the definition of coordinated tests and requested the opinion of race director Iain Murray. The reigning champions argue that there is currently a difference of opinion among competitors on what is allowed. Attention: American Magic is still present in Auckland, testing the boat to understand if the conditions exist to take part in the next America's Cup. The Americans, according to the hosts, could act as allies for Luna Rossa or Ineos ... The current protocol of the America's Cup, however, does not allow Murray to rule on unofficial practices and the arbitration panel stressed that proximity does not in itself mean coordination, although the closer the boats sail, the greater the probability. that coordinated activities can be found. The jury panel therefore came to this conclusion: "If two boats sailed within 100 meters of each other for more than 30 seconds, a violation could be assumed. Any penalties would be decided by the panel itself “.
That's the same ETNZ that complained about RC continuos changes to the Protocol in SF and Bermuda right? With Luna Rossa always by their side moreover. What's happening to GD ? I mean, this is starting to sound like signs of.. worries is too less, panic too much, something in the middle maybe ?

Given the deck fairings, pretty recent? Is this from the above video or elsewhere?
I've often wondered if the red-square super-flimsy deck was just a very light lid on top of the actual structural elements.

The reason this is interesting, is that it affords LR the ability to remove the lid, and gain similar sail surface area lower down ala ETNZ. Perhaps this has always been their plan? They do still have the higher foredeck to deal with...

They could gain area at the clew, but to gain area at the tack they would have to lower the deck.

Its clean above deck, and done well. But this isnt a boom in any sail control sense, although it may take some load off the hull. It's like 2d version of the INEOS boom in that it cant move up with the clew, so in sail control works like a boomless sail on a track.

Certainly is a Shit load of gear to squeeze between two skins, but interesting thought.

Based on that sentence (AM is definitely NOT testing their boat here), I would say the article is garbage.

There has been a lot of garbage spoken around this disagreement between LR and ETNZ, a lot of speculation, a lot of jumping to conclusions.

It seems to me that both sides have attempted to sway public opinion with some poorly thought-out media releases and have to bear some responsibility for this mess.

Of course the media climbs in and just makes things worse.

That website seems quite garbage indeed.  I agree
