It's interesting, yes. I could watch that LR boat sail for hours, those guys are looking really great. Not sure why the Italian one has those up tips at the end though.
What information is leading you to asses that the ITA test foil is faster than the ETNZ test foil?Theirs looks like it would be faster than the Kiwis banana model which has curve and more angle down. Not sure why the Italian one has those up tips at the end though.
they have only put the winglets on in the last few weeks, it will be interesting to see if they stay. What information is leading you to asses that the ITA test foil is faster than the ETNZ test foil?
LR have had winglets (foillets ?) on most of their foils. Not really surprising at all to see them there.

Most of the LR foils from the last cup had winglets. I guess their software keeps telling them it's better.they have only put the winglets on in the last few weeks, it will be interesting to see if they stay.
The yardstick for credible posts around this place is getting painfully low.Seagulls, the Mediterranean variety..
Well I remember final foils from all competitors had winglets in the last cup. the big question for this cup, with the increased 0.5mspan, is if winglets are still needed or not. Most of the LR foils from the last cup had winglets. I guess their software keeps telling them it's better.

Maybe I'm not understanding something but LR have had winglets on their foils since the boat was launched.they have only put the winglets on in the last few weeks, it will be interesting to see if they stay.
And 2 weeks later, they disappeared. How much time did you waste in your day looking for a photo to score some internet points against a stranger?Maybe I'm not understanding something but LR have had winglets on their foils since the boat was launched.

Are those foil blades forward-swept slightly, or is it an illusion created by the cut back flaps? I was wondering the same thing about, ETNZ's banana foil.
