Looks like The Italians are on port when they are testing the new foil. Theirs looks like it would be faster than the Kiwis banana model which has curve and more angle down. Not sure why the Italian one has those up tips at the end though.

What information is leading you to asses that the ITA test foil is faster than the ETNZ test foil?

LR have had winglets (foillets ?) on most of their foils. Not really surprising at all to see them there.

they have only put the winglets on in the last few weeks, it will be interesting to see if they stay.

Most of the LR foils from the last cup had winglets. I guess their software keeps telling them it's better.


The yardstick for credible posts around this place is getting painfully low.
Well I remember final foils from all competitors had winglets in the last cup. the big question for this cup, with the increased 0.5mspan, is if winglets are still needed or not.
