What a great regatta, such a shame that it's all over for the season. Back in the windy city now and trying to figure out what to do with life now that sailing's over....maybe I'll buy a Jeep Wrangler....

Who has the pics of Andiamo's keel? Jerseygirl, who I only just met this weekend, must be lurking out there somewhere. Make with the photos!

Is this about the BS in the 105 fleet?

Somebody nails a rock, another competitor offers his boat for the last day, and a bunch of douchbags cry foul. Result is two boats don't sail the last day.

No wonder this class is dying on WLIS. Probably deserves to.
You should get your facts right. The "other" competitor who offered his boat did race so only one boat didn't race and that was the one that hit the rock. As far as lending his boat, it came with strings like Paul couldn't have his crew on board (just him) and the sail inventory used was a mix from both boats. IMHO, if the other competitor just offered his boat and Paul had his crew and his sails aboard, it would have been ok. BTW, nobody cried foul that I know.

WRONG!

A whole bunch cried foul which is why he felt pressured to do what he did yesterday. At least one (paging B30...) had no intention of protesting but did make remarks.

And don't tell me Jeorg wouldn't protest Andiamsea if they wound up beating him overall.

I don't bash peoples choice of boats. But the level of dickheads in a class/fleet is generally proven by declining participation.

The fleet in question probably lost 2 members.

What a great event as always, great weather and awesome race committee work.

The only thing I have a problem with I don't like the throwout race they used for me I would have liked yesterday first races 1st thrown out, instead of last Sunday's first race 1st thrown out, I guess I will have to have a talk with them
You really ARE a dick! A funny dick, but nonetheless a dick!

Nice work guys......AGAIN!

Agreed...To reiterate great work by the RC. I must admit, I was a little bummed about doing a distance race on Sunday given our current standing, but after all, it turned out to be a fantastic race. Thanks again.

Yeah that was a little silly, considering last Sat was blown off. Then we were hoping they would have started us a short w/l after finishing the dist race - the 105's were getting ready to start a race as we were headed in. We needed that race as well considering our standings. Other than that (and the course change in race 2 on Sat  ) the RC did a good job - thanks!

Any truth to the rumor that you gave Richie directions in on Saturday afternoon?

Sail better in the beginning of the regatta next time, so that doesn't become an issue.
