Agreed...To reiterate great work by the RC. I must admit, I was a little bummed about doing a distance race on Sunday given our current standing, but after all, it turned out to be a fantastic race. Thanks again.
Yeah that was a little silly, considering last Sat was blown off. Then we were hoping they would have started us a short w/l after finishing the dist race - the 105's were getting ready to start a race as we were headed in. We needed that race as well considering our standings. Other than that (and the course change in race 2 on Sat  ) the RC did a good job - thanks!
Sail better in the beginning of the regatta next time, so that doesn't become an issue.
We'll try that next time.

Are there any notable submerged rocks in WLIS left on Andiamo's hit list?

- Hens and Chickens check

- Big Tom check

- Gangway check

I guess the one in the middle of the approach to AYC should be scared

There was a fairly substantial amount of money put down on the Andiamo skipper being able to sink an "unsinkable" boston whaler. What was the outcome?

Paul is a great guy--but after the third time he told that kid to stay farther out--he should have grabbed the helm and thrown "Richie" overboard. Dumbass--I saw the boat after it was hauled out---IMHO--- DEAD!!!

Front of the keel separated from the hull--gaping hole there--crack all the way along both sides of the keel root.

Who knows how bad the stringers are damaged--I wouldn't want that boat back after a repair!

that sucks, sorry to hear that.

What a great regatta, such a shame that it's all over for the season. Back in the windy city now and trying to figure out what to do with life now that sailing's over....maybe I'll buy a Jeep Wrangler....

Who has the pics of Andiamo's keel? Jerseygirl, who I only just met this weekend, must be lurking out there somewhere. Make with the photos!
Yes, I have some great shots, but, in respect of Paul, Jayme and the crew, I do not feel that it is my place to post.

On a separate note, I would like to applaud Paul's corinthian spirit. When he learned of the dissension within the class, he withdrew on Sunday as Andiamo in order to spare MBYC and the class any silly arguments and issues. Although, he won the day on Saturday and was only a point or so out of 1st going into Sunday, he took the high road.

I hope that the boat is repairable and he and the team are back out to compete soon.

Ruh roh -- one-design keel boat hits rock in WLIS, keel damaged., insuarnce claim coming.

Watch out for the tall bald bearded guy with the trench coat and reporters notebook. Clean may smell another reputation to shaelessly besmirch.

I don't think the life of a J/105 sailor is that intense--I mean--they get picked up at the "group home" by the short yellow bus--dropped off at the marina--play bumperboats all day--then hop back on the yellow bus home!

Not so tough!

If hes not careful he is going to have his mouth duct taped with 'I am a dick' written on it on it, then taped to a chair, wrapped in police tape and toilet paper, doused with a garden hose, and set on fire. Just saying it could happen (again)

Don't forget, besides bumper boats they get in the way of the class behind them, and also bitch about there new PHRF rating which is still a GIFT at 96
