Yup. Was a dark moonless gybe in the wee hours. Told the artist to not paint it in there, but she did anyway.

The other is the kite being backwards. But I blame that one on the lazy sailmaker only putting numbers on one side!

Question - are these too bad to give to a freind for his 60th birthday today? i sorta rushed them- him sailing his Santana 22.  i usually do a study of several. i skipped a lot of steps because i was out of time. Acrylic on canvas. Crayon.

thank you. He is a great sailor with a big heart. done some amazing things for another friend. Not too many chances to thank him with something personal and meaningful.
