I'd love to get my hands on some of Haughton Forrest's work, especially as they often feature locations I'm familiar with - and quite accurately too.

Well
as the clock continues to tick towards my upcoming show - and we are still in lockdown (cause the stoopids still can't follow basic infection control procedures) ... it is looking increasingly likely that online is al it's going to be this year.

So, here are a couple more offerings of the work in progress.

Enjoy

Wow, this is the first time i have seen this thread.. Amazing posts.

These last 2years have had me visit many many specialists all over eastern Australia.

In a strange haze of faltering memory this last lot of appointments took me to see 5 of them again, of the 5, 4 of them seem passionate about sailing and art.. The last one i had seen 3times previously but could not remember ever being there until i attended his office. Immediately i remembered the amazing painting of a sloop beating to whether.
I shall take pictures next time as there was a pencil monet print there also and some amazing Sydney tallship and syd-hobart start paintings there also.
It speaks volumes that i struggle to remember the Drs yet my memory immediately remembered previously seeing the sailing art...

i do realise this post does not contain any actual art, rather a nostalgic rambling relating to art, therefore next time i post here i will post nautical art or tits.

thanks for the great thread so far.

Met this bloke at a boat show (Annapolis?) many years ago...he was in his prime and his back catalogue included some of the best IOR imagery I've ever seen....I ended up buying more than a few of his Giclee Prints and had them signed and shipped back to Oz... I see in the blurb that he's collected by some the sports legends...pretty sure they'd be buying the originals!

Cool stuff - has a strong Neiman influence I'd say.
