I never liked SPRAY, it always seemed one step removed from a floating barn. But that's a nice picture.

Slocum didn't even like it - it was just free.

That's the big irony about all the fans of that boat - the only reason he succeeded was because he was an outstanding seaman.

It was despite the boat, not because of it. The replicas of it are a demonstration of the fact that even a haystack can sail downwind.
