To add to my TL;DR above - If Biden is really serious about his "Healing the soul of America" campaign slogan..... one area to start with would be recognizing that when it comes to addressing racial and economic inequality - it should not be a zero sum game. ...... I even heard a black lady politician on an NPR interview state that she was opposed to Policy or program X because it might help poor white people too.  WTAF?  

So Joe - if you really want to heal the soul of the nation..... recognize, acknowledge and do something about ALL the folks who are hurting and struggling out there.  Not just those prized POC constituents.  Remember, many of most of them used to be Dems and switched because you turned your backs on them.

I'm all for holding people accountable for their actions.  Who exactly do you want to hold accountable for what, and how specifically do you suggest we do that?  Serious question, because your statement "holding people accountable" is a very broad and vague statement.

So you agree then - distributing tax money is a zero sum game. And therefore your comments re Jeff are off point, because he was correct. Assuming he accepts your characterisation.

Now arguing that the bias in distribution where some get more and others less is interesting, but let's not pretend that it's anything other than a zero-sum game, given a fixed tax base.

Raising the tax base is another argument entirely but it *still* becomes a zero-sum game, just at a higher total pool amount.

She's a Critter from Georgia, that there should be enough, which currently has two Communist Senators. I fully agree with that.  That's one of my central points here.  I vehemently believe that all these RW noise purveyors don't believe a word of what they're spouting off and are doing it only because it's easy money.  MGT didn't just come up with the notion that forest fires were set with jewish space lasers..... someone put that stupid idea into her head.  And that someone is laughing all the way to the bank.  In Nazi Germany the USSR - that sort of propaganda was done to control people in order to gain and maintain power.  The new propagandists are doing it to self enrich.  Unfortunately, lately some have realized they can have both power and $$ - so that is why it's ramped up so much lately.

I don't know how to stop it because "FUCK YOU, 1st Amendment".  Unless that changes, the only other way to counter it is to have a better message as well as better policies to address the reasons these people are so angry and lost.

Actually, I was trying to be funny. So that's a fail on me.

But no. A government benefit whether a program or a payment does not have to be a zero sum game. They can just as easily just "Okay all left-handed bicycle repair men can now get receive free widgets under the FREE WIDGETS FOR LEFT-HANDED BICYCLE REPAIR MEN initiative!" Then next week they also give free widgets to albino unicycle riders, and unless they go around taking away all the LHBRM's widgets, it's not a zero sum game -even- if they then bar any further LHBRMs from getting them. Things like education? The whole society benefits so how is that "zero sum?"

The calls for censure and her removal from Congress don’t appear to have damaged her standing in her conservative north Georgia district — and may have even strengthened the so-called QAnon Congresswoman there for now. “If you have any common sense, you know she's an anchor on the party. She is weighing us down,” said Gabriel Sterling, a Republican election administrator who became a leading voice criticizing the baseless election conspiracy theories espoused by Trump and his supporters like Greene.

“Some people are saying maybe [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi will throw her out” of Congress, Sterling said, referring to the House speaker. “The Democrats would never throw her out. They want her to be the definition of what a Republican is. They’re gonna give her every opportunity to speak and be heard and look crazy — like what came out Wednesday, the Jewish space laser to start fires. I mean, I don't know how far down the rabbit hole you go.”
