'We want total war': Young Republican group cheers on the next insurrection​

While Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) promised that if she were in charge of Jan. 6, people would have been more armed and dangerous, other speakers at the Young Republicans gala in New York City talked about the next civil war.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks extremism throughout the United States, cited the speech from the Young republican president Gavin Wax, who told the Upper East side gala, “We want to cross the Rubicon. We want total war. We must be prepared to do battle in every arena. In the media. In the courtroom. At the ballot box. And in the streets."

Hatewatch reporters were on hand to observe as white nationalists Peter and Lyndia Brimelow of VDARE met with Steve Bannon and Donald Trump Jr., where they took selfies.

"Republicans publicly lauded members of an Austrian political party founded by World War II-era German Nazi party members," said the SPLC observers. Newsweek opinion editor Josh Hammer joked with "racist political operative Jack Posobiec," the site said. Posobiec was the one who spread the false Pizzagate conspiracy. Newsweek has grown increasingly friendly to extremists over the past several years as Hammer invited Posobiec onto his podcast. Though lately, he's been more supportive of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) over Donald Trump. ...........................

A collection of radical right figures including white nationalists and ultranationalist European leaders gathered in Manhattan for the New York Young Republicans Club’s (NYYRC) annual gala Saturday night, where that group’s president declared “total war” on perceived enemies.

At the five-hour event, which Hatewatch reporters attended, white nationalists Peter and Lydia Brimelow of VDARE hobnobbed with Steve Bannon, a former Trump adviser and White House official. Donald Trump Jr. was also in attendance.

Republicans publicly lauded members of an Austrian political party founded by World War II-era German Nazi party members. Racist political operative Jack Posobiec shared jokes across a table with Josh Hammer, the opinion editor of Newsweek. Multiple recently elected GOP congresspeople applauded Marjorie Taylor Greene, who told the NYYRC crowd in the event’s closing remarks that the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol would have succeeded if she had planned it and that the insurrectionists would have been armed.

She was the 'CFO' of her dad's company, her only business experience. But the AJC said:

The site has been offline for “scheduled maintenance” in recent months, but Marjorie Greene has no significant presence on the company’s web pages collected over the past 20 years by the internet archive site — Waybackmachine.com.​

She is not listed with other executives on the company’s leadership pages. Greene is not featured in the archived pages where her father and husband are the central actors in the company’s story.​
