Mast height J92

Does anybody know the vertical clearance or mast height above the waterline of a J92?

On the all knowing web I could only find the height for the J92s, which seems to have a different rig.

I'm looking for a new boat and it needs to be able to pass under a bridge of 12,5 meter2.

Thanks.

J/92 'I' is 37.00 ft.
J/92s I is 40.68 ft.

Looks like boom is about 5-6 feet off the water...

So I'd say total air draft of a J/92 is about 43 ft. With a small safety factor...

I've never really paid attention to these dimensions of a rig. I learned something tonight. It looks like the P measurement at 38' plus 6' over the water for 44' total would be the safe measurement. Either way...that's some good sleuthing.

Doesn't seem like the J92 will make it though.

Rask if you wish I can take some measurements as there is at least one J92 in Hamble where I live. From posts above it does seem the J92 won't fit which is a pity as they are great boats (pound for pound the best boat I ever owned and in fact with another ex-owner we have our eye our for a 92S)

That's a shame, the boat really fits my bill.
Good performance, not to big, enough space to sleep for a night, a roomy cockpit and a head.
Seemed like an ideal compromise between racing and taking the family for a sail.
Just 50cm to much.

Data above confirms mast height is 14.2m (46ft 6 inches) plus a bit for windex/vhf antenna and you are at around 14.5m so a good 2m higher than the bridge

Really like the J-boats, but it seems the only ones that would clear the bridge are the J70 an d J80. This weekend I'm going to take a look at a Seascape 24, looks like they are a bit roomier on the inside than a J80.
Anyway thanks for the response and info.

J80 doesn't really have an interior. You can sit below if it was raining or eg use a portable toilet. I've seen boats with berths installed but it's quite rare. In past we have considered one as a day cruiser / racer but aside from rare remote anchorage we were not planning on sleeping aboard but using accommodation ashore.

What I would say is that J80 handles more like a small yacht certainly versus J70 which is a more tender sportsboat
