Maybe Storming The Capitol Wasn't Such A Good Idea

Kinda depends on whether the teach broke any laws, does it not? Plenty of folks have been to BLM rallies without breaking any laws, myself included. Ours was to protest the confederate soldier greeting people at the front door of the building where people seek equal justice under the law. The only people who broke the law were the people threatening to kill the lot of us, but their Big Talk went the way of what Granny Hawkins thought.

That's my entire point.  If the guy was just part of the rally and didn't break any laws, then there are no grounds for the school to suspend or sanction him.  That would indeed be a violation of the 1A since the school is a gov't run and federally funded entity.  If he crossed the barricades, then that's a whole 'nother story.

Same exact thing for BLM'ers.  If you march peacefully, you are well within your rights.  If you Smash windows, loot, and set cars and buildings on fire - then you are a criminal.

FIFY

Why do some of ya persist in ignoring copious evidence of Far Reich violence at and around BLM protests ??

It's just got to be a racial thing . .

Exactly. Why is that such a hard concept for Righties to understand?

That is not even slightly true.  Perhaps for a Marine Corps rifleman private who is told to charge that hill and take that machine gun.  But the spec ops guys in particular are picked for their ability to think critically and outside of the box and to question nonsense orders.  These guys are put into the most difficult mental challenges both in training and in real combat.   And even the lowest ranking guys are capable of independent thought and decision making when cut off from the chain of command.

If the article is correct that this guy became so utterly brainwashed, then it's an testament to the power of this sort of fact-less propaganda and we need to be even more afraid of it and take action to counter it.
If the article is correct then this guy who has been on the receiving end of RW lunatics in the Jade Helm  conspiracy as one of the planners of the exercise. "... was trained as an expert in sorting information from disinformation, a clandestine commando who spent years working in intelligence paired with the C.I.A."

He still believes and is ready to do "rough things"

The GOP and Fox has brought America down this path and are happily leading it further down to a place of nightmares.

Just to clarify I have never labeled BLM a criminal organization.
Bullshit.

You refer to “BLM riots” all the time.

If you refer to an organization owning criminal mayhem on the scale of riots, you are labeling them a criminal organization, or at least that they are routinely associated with violent crime.

Technical question for those that have watched more of the videos than I; from what I saw it looked as if there were 3 layers of control, an outer barrier, the inner barrier at the steps of the Capitol and the doors and windows of the building.  Is this correct? Certainly, anyone that was at the TOP of the steps was trespassing as they would have gone through the barriers near the bottom of the steps but if there was a control barrier further out then anyone near the steps would have been trespassing and chargeable. So if the teacher was on the steps then he was certainly not 'protesting" legitimately but trespassing and subject to disciplinary action.

You missed your calling.  You would have made for a great press secretary for the last administration.

To be fair, that descriptor could be applied to the previous Presidential Administration.  The assaults at the rallies and culminating with the events of January 6.
