Melbourne Big Boat Fleet

i suspect if it's an australian registered vessel, possibly no on the GST - but import duty may well stand.  Also depends on which country it's coming from - free trade agreements and all that shit.

What im saying is, who the fuck knows

<edit> actually you should know Hoppy, with Jess being brought in recently ??? </edit>

Its coming in from San Diego, Trumpsylvania, not far from Mexico. Probably deported as an undesirable alien. Some of the crew certainly would have been.

Yep, a bit hard for PC to work out how to sail the thing when you're racing against symmetrical kite displacement boats. But that's the state of affairs in Melbourne, so if they race in Sydney against similar performance boats the learning curve would increase rapidly.
Basic skill set and boat handling on that boat is low. Will get equally hosed if not more so in Sydney unless they import some talent and remove some of the dead wood.

Can anyone help with some info on importing boats?

I've got a 32ft boat coming into Melbourne in a couple of months to the RoRo terminal. It'll be sitting on a cradle (without it's keel) which is the shipping company's.

So, does anybody know a haulage company that will be able to help with also supplying a cradle? Or where i could hire a cradle? Or even whether I need one, given I only need about 0.5m clearance on the trailer for the leg (will a few supports do?).

TIA.

Have a chat to Lofty at Keels on Wheels 0488 055 462.

And, it's from Royal Fucking Brighton Yacht Club
Strikingly similar burgee too. Rancid Fur-Burger Yacht Club?

Has been left to rot  for sale in Melbourne since just after the 2017 Hobart. Not much action on the big race boat sales front right now by the look of things.

Maybe a bit too much bad ju-ju history with that particular boat; what with Slotty's alleged transgressions and then being dragged sideways off a beach a bit later?
