Russell, you can resolve a lot of boat ramp questions by having someone empty the ballast tanks in the G32 by loudly announcing "O K dump the holding tanks"foosh the crowd is gone.

multihuler is not the guy to talk to about designing and building - not his bag - so he was likely changing the subject rather than give you bad guidance.
If it was early June, and Nice Pear (ha ha), he was rigging he was in a rush to get it ready for r2ak. He was hustling right up to the start, irrc. I was there watching him. People at boat ramps cause distraction when you are doing critical things, like raising a 45', 200 lbs mast, or making sure you've safetied all the connections.

No, he was not in any rush. Working slowly, and as I said he seemed to have quite a bit of time to tell me all about the many linear feet of hulls he owned…
I wish him luck. Maybe thousands of curious people will flock to his museum of obscure boats and pay him well for the opportunity…..who knows….

You sound pissy.
It's true that we represent a tiny niche market and will probably never achieve Walmart status but I'd pay to spend a day on any of those boats. And I'd also pay to NOT spend a day in Walmart, Disneyland, your basement model train collection or any other myriad popular attractions. Probably the biggest reason most of those boats are being abandoned is the difficulty of finding reasonable dockage. So the guy is doing something pretty great for the little community that we belong to.

The owner of the GB66 Phaedo always used to argue that he should be allowed to sail in the St Barth's Bucket (open to superyachts over 100ft) because he had 132ft of waterline...

@multihuler sounds like a good guy. I realize my original posting might've sounded a bit skeptical of his work. This wasn't the intended meaning, I've seen enough around here to have established a while ago that he's legit, I was just curious about the backstory.
