The boat looked like that in his video from a week ago, but in the latest video the headsails appear to have been removed.

Had have a look and maybe he should stop posting there too some "interesting" pics he posted. Like one of the boards, it looks like it has a crack on the trailing edge maybe? and what boat that has been run into the ground with poor maintenance needs the de rigueur shitty old genny on deck. Interesting that he mentioned that the engine has an oil leak and need some other stuff done to it.. can't have been much of a re-build job on it...

Oh sweet jesus. He can't keep the diesel running, so he's got a contractor grade gas genset sitting on the deck. And a small table saw. Fuck me silly with a handy billy, he's gonna go Hot Rod on this boat.
He's making Doug look smart.

...after all this is basically an old tractor or bulldozer, rather than a high performance multihull...

^ I did make this reference earlier, and DL seems intent on proving me right :(

I suppose the boat was painted quick and dirty right there in the water on it's mooring, along with the hull repairs too?

That can be done of course, but it's unlikely to be at the same level as back in the day in, for example Antigua, where boats were taken over into the mangroves of English Harbour, heeled over (monohulls), and a new roll and tip Awlgrip finish applied...

:)

That is a worrisome crack in the daggerboards. Doesn't seem too structural, but you know damn well no self-respecting French team would leave it that way. Saying hull repairs are rough is an understatement, it looks like they're made out of plaster.
