Although not having the best race, its interesting to see that Arkema is gradually climbing the leader board. I doubt that the conditions are allowing full foiling, so  the drag from his foils can't be too much of an impairment.

The south is going well for Jörg, he's got 2nd now.

The 931 Sideral has a really blunt bow, but I would not call it a scow.

Nevertheless, the first pointy bow would be just behind with Kéni Piperol at the helm.

Yes indeed, and Piperol is also the youngest of the fleet (21), and also the only one going home (almost, from Guadeloupe and not Martinique)

And a great catching up race so far :

(also in front of the first serie boat now)

If he manages to finish 4th (will be really tough), it will be a major performance.

In Lipinski post arrival interview, he is saying that he hold back quite a bit to preserve the boat, was always "fighting" between more speed and preserving, also caught a fishing net and damaged his kite taking it in because of that, had to do a lot of repair on it

Words from the race director Heughes,

IN the mini the talk is foils are at the moment a no go, though there are still some new builds with foils on the way.
They are to small in relation to the waves to make foiling a steady way to sail.

And a new serie boat with fuller bow on the way, Pogo3 took 2 minitransats to be up speed, but now they ruled.
