Mocking Ads on Craigslist

We have the Ugly Boat Admiration Society thread but, I thought a little more focus on the source and a wider focus on boat(y) stuff might entertain. The drawback of this thread is the pictures will eventually go away as the ads die.

Here's a piece of gold.

Bruce Anchor 15 lbs. - $25 (Gig Harbor)

I salvaged this anchor. It's a Bruce style and weighs 15 or 20 lbs. is my guess. Comes with a shot of chain. $25
Anyone need an anchor? It's cheap.

There are more than $25 in those nice shiny SS shackles! Looks like three of them too, such a deal...

The chain doesn't look too bad...90 feet of chain would fetch $25, the shackles would be a bonus.

Now you've set the challenge, I'm sure craigslist and their ilk will be pillaged for crap like this.

That's a Seaborn designed Sierra 26, maybe better known as a Rawson 26. Maybe only known as a Rawson 26.. That is a very good sailing boat.

A few years back there was a $100 boat offered near here. It was a wooden wreck in someone's back yard held up with a number of Brownell stands in decent condition. I thought of taking a few lengths of wood over, paying the $100, propping up the boat and taking the stands.

I thought better of it when i remembered an earlier experience I had had clearing out my mother's house. A book buyer came by and after looking over the books offered me $500 for them. My response was to be clear that I wanted a price on taking all the books out of the house. He came back with $300 and we had a fair deal.

It looks like a rounded version of a Thunderbird. He had quite a style. I like them, I think the Tbird is a great boat.

How does the wimmen folk use the head.....velcro?
Ask Olaf, he seems to know about this stuff.

Yes, I think this design predates the T-bird. There was one in Seattle called SKINNYDIPPER that kicked ass for a few years in the 70's. It was a rocket in the light stuff.

Back in the day there was a Sierra 26 that raced out of Tacoma which consistently spanked everyone in her class. Can't remeber her name though.
