Project Escape Vehicle + Drugs... WARNING !!!
"In some cases where LSD users are known to have recently watched the movie "Water World", a serious condition may result where the user wades into a wooded section of his property, unearth's the mangled wreckage of a trimaran sailboat hull left there by the property's previous inhabitants, and proceeds to construct an "escape vehicle" by combining the hull with rotten lumber salvaged from the surrounding leaf litter."
The pic looks about like what you'd expect, but I feel this is pretty good ad

Wow, in a thread that has ample examples of extremely ugly boats, you have just set a standard that will be hard to meet. Even during my worse acid trip I don't think i ever saw anything so bone chillingly ugly as that.I wonder if anyone will buy a boat this ugly.

If 10 year old girls could run a boat they'd love a barbie Boat like that.I wonder if anyone will buy a boat this ugly.

Clearly the person that bought the plans ignored the the fact that the design is called "Elver". Everyone knows elves certainly don't need a lot of headroom.http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/4706885174.html

The quest for headroom ruins so many design visions.
Elver is looking better.

Sure, but given it is a 20' cruiser, I like my elf theory better. Not elves, eels. The quest for headroom ruins so many design visions.Clearly the person that bought the plans ignored the the fact that the design is called "Elver". Everyone knows elves certainly don't need a lot of headroom.
el•ver (ˈɛl vər)
n.
a young eel, esp. one migrating up a stream from the ocean.
I have no personal experience, but the rumors that reached my ears said it's a terrible design. Unfortunately, it's cute enough that several (at least) have been built.
Other than the paint job, I think you have to give this a pass. It's a commercial boat, configured to economic & regulatory purposes. Beauty does not pay bills or make income.I wonder if anyone will buy a boat this ugly.

I beg to differ. There are plenty of commercial boats that have a certain functional beauty about them. I can't imagine any commercial purpose that would require a boat to be that hideous looking, no matter how it was painted.Other than the paint job, I think you have to give this a pass.
