There must be a different definition of "new" that this poster is using to which I am unaware. If you are going to try to take people, at least pull off the old wire terminal stubs and clean the thing up. Sheesh.

Wow, in a thread that has ample examples of extremely ugly boats, you have just set a standard that will be hard to meet. Even during my worse acid trip I don't think i ever saw anything so bone chillingly ugly as that.
This interior shot reminds of a school bus.

It does have all the charm of a school bus, but I think that one belongs in Uglyboat Admiration. Twin diesel jets and it looks like everything mechanical must be under that aft deck.

Although the original cabin house suits the design much better, I don't think this version is that bad, perhaps a judicious 2 tone paint scheme could minimize the jarring effect. If it is as well built as the ad says, the price including the trailer isn't too terrible either and even better if you could talk down the price a hundred or two.

Elver is looking better.
That whole "Pocket Cruiser" thing has always escaped me. I can understand cruising in a small boat but there's a limit and Elver is well below it.

I have no personal experience, but the rumors that reached my ears said it's a terrible design. Unfortunately, it's cute enough that several (at least) have been built.
Other than the paint job, I think you have to give this a pass. It's a commercial boat, configured to economic & regulatory purposes. Beauty does not pay bills or make income.
I beg to differ. There are plenty of commercial boats that have a certain functional beauty about them. I can't imagine any commercial purpose that would require a boat to be that hideous looking, no matter how it was painted.
