Are any two bs boat the same, which means technically every bs boat is custom?
Yeah but that applies to pretty much every owner-built boat.

In theory the hulls are the same, the rigs might be one of a set of options but the fitout - different matter entirely.

Steve's PANOPE hull is based originally on Tom Colvin's SAUGEEN WITCH lines, as is mine, but they're totally different boats.

Seems to me that boats advertised with the word "custom" are generally terrible. Plenty of great custom boats out there, but they get advertised as great boats, not "custom" ones.

Not CL, but you gotta love this ad:

"Snipe dinghy Sailing dinghy 470
In very good condition, with centerboard, rudder, sails, mast etc only missing the ropes and the base of the mast, is delivered if you want with beach trailer with new wheels, always in garage and used in lakes, and when it has been used at sea has been properly rinsed. Good opportunity to get started in sailing"

When I asked to have the page translated it came back slightly different to yours - “always in garage and used in swamps,’

It should have been left there, its natural environment.

13 owners? That will be a hell cruise.
It'd almost be worth buying in just to be the biggest pain in the ass of the whole crew. I suspect there'd be some fierce competition.

When you tired of that, which wouldn't take long, give your share to the second biggest pain in the ass knowing she'd get even worse as a first class passenger.

Is that plywood covering the outboard well?
Of course not. It is a piece of original timber sourced from ethically managed and sustainable forests bonded into a multi-layer panel.  A wash-type stain has been applied to give an authentic patina that reflects the strong character of this yacht.  It was installed by local craftsmen trained in traditional yacht maintenance. .

It is so much more than plywood.

Ethically, morally, metaphysically, astrologically, and vegatorically, yes it is far FAR more than just a mere piece of random plywood that is soggy, partially rotten, scavenged and half sloppily painted. It achieves lofty goals far above the ken of mortal plywood and those whose perceptions are so limited.

And yet, it's not even a decent piece of cheap plywood. Believe me, I have struggled to disguise many piece of cheap plywood!
