N2E 2022. Too early to start the thread?

Current wind readings show they should have started the race at 9 instead of waiting till noon.

It would be cool if they had provisions to start earlier if conditions allow. Almost the whole fleet could finish or be close by dusk.

mush less wind here in DAGO now

than about 6am when DAWGS were swimming by in the air

anyone wanna follow the race(rs)  https://yb.tl/n2e2022#
It's gusting up here enough to rattle the windows. 24knt gusting to 30. They should race from Oxnard to Newport. 90 miles in less that 10 hrs. wow

Too bad NOSA does not have a webcam or some drone. With this breeze, they would have some great footage. seems like they could work with some HS tech club or something like that.

Yea, I'll be checking the brick tracker while I am working over the VYC Coastal course chart.

Scot'z SLUGin his way to Dinner at SDYC

Rolling Faster than any other ride heading to DAGO

Just 1 Rock on the Track and it's a turning mark so should be noticed

Should be just stretching it out in Cean Fresh Air from this point on

But till ya cross the line it's still a game

woody, he may be your DOG but not mine.

Seems pretty odd he is faster than boats that owe that him time. I'm Sure PHRF will note this. 66 seems a bit lite for that boat.
Notice the wind direction, seems pretty far aft. This is why the OA and PRO need to wait till race day to choose the proper Course rating.

This business will get out of Control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

I question if YB reports at positions at the same point in time

if one keeps showing 10 min later it will make a difference in how things look (for a while)

How much does a HOBIE-33 need to beat a J-144 to correct out ?

is that a lumpy/Wet ride on the M-32 holding its own all things considered !!

Well looks like Scot has about 3 mile lead on the J-145 @ the Left Turn Rock

Once pointed to home it is going to be a Quick Wet Pounding till within the Bay

ThT M-32 is gunna be like a Polarbear Swim

Scot will learn how his ride takes to the conditions

Scot will Not be on the most cumphy ride

But rest assured his keel won't fall off

I don't see him staying up late tonight
