Interesting that they went for a three spreader rig as I will have thought the rating hit would not be worth it from a two spreader setup?

rig factor over 2 spreader would be approximately 1pt (so 3.6secs/hours), however back when TPs still had 2 & 3 spreader rig in the fleet consensus was that 3 spreader gave more control & options (but a little harder to set up initially).
Modern models allow for faster/easier work done so setting up is not as big a deal but still has the tube control advantages. This is especially important when incorporating masthead/fractional sails and sails set inside of it. So triple header is generally a bit easier to control on a three over a two spreader. There would not have been a real weight difference for them (3 spreader can be lighter tube but has more fittings), generally VCG is fractionally lower for higher spreader numbers.
For boats <45ft, the panel lengths generally are short enough to not consider 3 spreader rig and the 1 pr on a lower rating obviously will have a bigger impact.

Not surprised it is fast. Personally, I think it looks cool.
Carkeek is a bullshitter though. In 2020, he lied to my face then flaked out after encouraging my partner and I to fund his first catamaran. (two are in build).

About two weeks ago, I was contacted by a former design partner who worked on this Ino Noir project (and others). He claimed to be owed €23,000 for design work. He forwarded emails to support his claims.

Carkeek uses people. He doesn’t design, pay his bills, or live up to his promises. Fuck him. I look forward to seeing him.

Nice boat.
