Newport, RI Charter

[Crank Boy]

So this topic came up a few weeks ago for California. But I have a buddy going to Newport in July and wants to charter a boat and get out on the water for a few hours with some friends. Anyplace in or around Newport that this may be logistically simple like not having to take a 'competency course' or any of that shit. This is a former boat owner and competent sailor.

There is an outfit locally that has a Hinkckley 50, a Beneteau 47.7 or 473 (I can't remember which) and a few Beneteau 423. I believe they will charter just for a day (or half day) and will likely charter with or without captain.
