The rationalization begins. First attack the accuser. Throw out all the possible motives. Each one will resonate with a few more. Then mitigate and laugh off the offense. Stage Kiss. I like that one. If the Stage Kiss in question is Gene Simmons then I guess the tongue is a given. 

The flack vest is another good one. So what is the legal fabric thickness here to negate a copped feel? 

The thing here is we all know Al Franken and he is such a decent guy that this must have been truly out of character for him. I can't imagine he ever did this to anyone else. 

No way this was a pattern of behavior. 

Somebody sure predicted the GOPlaybook for Dr. Ford.

Franken should have just denied everything and all would be good to go.  Oh, except the R's are in charge and bad behavior has consequences. Some times.
