Nexus Calibration

You can do it thru the displays or, if you have a server you can use the race software. Its all old though, so you need to be a bit of a hack to get it running on a modern pc. There is no way to do it thru a N2000 interface as far as I know. Read the nx2 multi-display manual, or the fdx race software manual. Google is your friend - there are still a few sources available online such as chicagomarineelectronics who have the docs up for download. But i recommend you use the display calibration options - all the main calibrations are available there and you’ll waste a lot of time trying to get the software working if you are starting from scratch.

I was able to get the race software working on a brand new computer last summer with no issues. This page has all the details.

Hey everyone,

I connected my Nexus > NMEA 2000. Anyone have instructions on how to properly calibrate? I am way off on all of my numbers.
I used a Garmin GND 10 to bridge between NEXUS and current NMEA 2000 displays. There was no calibration to be done.

If you want accurate True Wind data, you'll absolutely need to calibrate the log transducer and make sure the wind transducer corrections are entered.
