Might want to wait until next week to be thinking Purdy is all that.
All what? Nothing untrue in that post Dak played like crap and the kid played like a vet. No one is predicting HOF for Purdy yet. Dak threw 2 interceptions and Purdy did not

I’m not comparing QB’s. I’m just looking at the way Purdy played. Eagles are going to crush him. And I’m no eagles fan.

I thought Purdy played decently, his job is to run the offense and not make mistakes or turn the ball over. He isn't going to steal a game or dominate one. Two great defenses, if the 49ers can contain Hurts it should be a great game.

Dallas has an excellent defense. But Purdy had no picks and no fumbles. He evaded a lot of pressure and had just two sacks. However, Philadelphia has an even excellenter defense. So Young Purdy has his task before him.

Is he a game manager? Maybe. But he's in the division championship game.

Yep, and the Bengals are why I don't gamble. What sucked was UH losing to Temple by 1 at home. oh well.

I’m passed at myself I didn’t bet on the bengals today, and I never bet. Buffalo has been smoke and mirrors all year. They probably won’t make the playoffs next year.
The Bengals have been one of the top teams against the spread this year. If you'd been betting on them, you would have made bank because we were like 13-3 ATS or something.

--

Of course, we've been seriously slept on...again. It's like you have to keep reminding people we're the defending AFC Champions while they're planning games down on a neutral field without even really mentioning us.

Reactions to yesterday's...rather solid...putting down the the Bills were pretty good.

The general post-game vibe I saw was "holy shit, we forgot about these guys and look what they just did to the Bills at home."

It's not like we didn't win nine straight games against the toughest schedule in the NFL or anything. After the Bills/Bengals cancellation they just stopped paying attention to what was happening on the field before the game stopped.

This Bills team lost three games in the regular season by a combined total of 8 points. They were one of the best offensive (2nd overall yard and PPG) AND defensive teams (2nd in points against, 6th in yards against, 5th against the ground).

And at home, in the snow, in the playoffs, with Damar Hamlin watching and inspiring the team...they got dominated in every phase of the game by a 5.5 point underdog. We put up a 17 point win on them with a stitched together O-line. Stuffed the run, stifled the pass, and didn't give up a passing TD or a turnover. And one (1) sack for our banged up line.

----

Next we face the #1 seed. We do NOT want to get cocky, though we've been them three straight games since Jan 2022, and once at Arrowhead. That is as much reason not to be cocky (because they're due) as Mahomes having a high ankle sprain. He's still dangerous.

But we're ready. And if we can execute against the Chiefs like we did against the Bills, I think we win.

And what's not to love about grown men making snow angels in the end zone?

Mahomes has a fucking ankle sprain. KC a 1 point favorite. My gut? Advantage Cinci.
Eagles/49ers? 2 good teams at full strength. Eagles giving 2.5, and they would give 3 just for being the home team. Toss-up.

Line has flipped. As of now it's Bengals -1.5.

I do not care for this development.

Eagles have to play that San Fran defense. Giants were vast over achievers who finally played to their level. If Macafrey plays like himself and runs like Swift did against the Eagles it won’t matter what Purdy does.

Their main question is that patched up the o-line which damn near got Burrows killed against the Ravens checked the Bills pass-rush or if the icy ground did it. About the only question though. Everything else looks great.

do you mean the chatter if they win? "Ah, they wouldn't have beat Mahomes at full strength!"

No. I prefer playing as an underdog. The "us against the world" suits us and was a big motivator for the divisional round.

But the chatter also sucks and is stupid. Because Mahomes was 100% the last three times we beat him.

So trying to take away from us beating a gimpy Mahomes? Yeah, Steeler and Ravens fans in trash talk groups will do that. But I'm not sure anyone serious will since Burrow has already had his way with him three times.

It's a Philly thing.

For the record, I was at the Ravens/Steelers Sunday night game in which Ngata broke Big Ben's nose. Game at 8:15 and lots opened a few hours earlier. Folks were double-parked by 9 AM, outside the lots, on city streets, partying, and then staggered in the stadium.
