I'm a fan of the single handing f242 (pestou), and Mojo is a local boat...but the hard part is still coming.
Oh dear…Multithom says the Corsair 880 is not a race boat. I shall now publicly proclaim my prediction! The 880 will win this year's Race to Alaska. I'm willing to bet 3 Oreo cookies and a glass of cold almond milk. Mark my words!
Damn auto fillClovid... Is that the version of Covid from Clovis?
At least they can see how many inches the break could fail at in real time. I hope the repair holds.
I'd guess Mojo's three more humans & stuff weighs 900+ pounds. That's quite a drag.Doesn't seem like tres has quit looking at the tracker currently. Gotta admire the plucky f242 single handing in among the leaders. Gotta wonder why mojo is slower than an f242.
The French generally understand tides and current very well and what it does to VMG.I'm an fboat sailor.. but my money is on We Brake for Whales.
Mojo is doing well. The French seem to understand VMG..;P. They are sailing 2 knots faster (SOG) and over 1 knot better VMG than Run Duck.
For me it's less about the current track.. They did very well in the light air proving ground and are up in the leading pack on day 1.Why do you prefer "Whales'" track over the leaders? Pestou is amazing but will have to rest at some point. The other 3 leading multis appear to be sailing very efficiently. The "Budgie" boat is also doing surprisingly well.
Glad they've all gone the inside course, last year was a less enthralling than previous years.Assuming that I understand geometry is quite a stretch but I appreciate your good intentions. I think the 30ish foot trimarans should actually do quite well in upwind conditions. This is one of the things that makes this race so great, seeing how different designs and humans adapt to the wildly variable conditions.
