Is Christian Science a science? What science did you do your post grad in? Did you actually get a degree that is relevant to this discussion?

How about Theology? How the fuck did they sneak that in? It's disgrace to Academia.

Lock downs the are societal equivalent of inducing a coma. Its a denial of individual freedom and suppression of economic activity in the name of the greater good - a utilitarian bargain. In the pandemic response cookbook, lock dows are suppose to be amongst the 'last lines' of defense, not first lines.

The lock downs in the US weren't instituted by liberals. They were instituted by Republicans, who controlled the presidency and the senate. Donald TRUMP did it - he deserves the credit or blame on the policy. If you believe lock downs were good and necessary, then you support his policy. If you don't, then you don't. This re-write of history always blows me because its happening in real time. Along with the CDC and their 'we didn't mandate anything' denialism, the societal gas lighting at an national scale is boggling but seems to have worked just fine.

Personally, I think the lock downs in the US were bad because they were launched under false pretenses and because of how unevenly they were applied. "Two weeks to bend the curve" was a flat out lie the day it was put to paper and the people who pushed that narrative KNEW it was a lie. It was mathematically impossible to work and they knew it but used the 'boiling frog' technique to force consensus. Ok.. fine. But then by keeping trade with Mexico, the policy was guaranteed to fail on that loop hole alone. Further, the people most exposed to COVID when vaccines were least available were people on the bottom of the economic ladder. If you're going to institute THAT policy, you need public buy-in, which never happened. Lock downs were an exercise in force under the guise of public health. I believe the intentions were good.

What a ridiculous thread. People crowing because they've not had covid.
It was just another excuse for that Narcissistic attention whoring virtue signaling, friendless POS to start another thread. Little wonder her husband got the fuck out of there. Imagine having to spend all day every day with that?

I'm only in the fan club, I'm not a bin chicken FFS. :ROFLMAO:

Do you think Meli will gloat because she hasn't had malaria? Or dengue? Or Ross River?

All of which continue to kill more people than covid and have done for decades. They're mostly not white people in Melbourne though.
