Semis just aren't a good use case for BEVs. Maybe local trucks could work, like the trucks at container terminals repositioning loads for trains. But long haul trucking would have huge batteries which cut into the load capacity.

I believe most of the early customers are planning to use them from hubs where the truck will return each day. I can see that making sense.

Elon Musk is the king of ego and self absorption. He's a certified asshole who has too much money and has now decided to actively throw his weight around in the political arena. I had zero respect for him before, and frankly ignored him. Now? I wish he would simply disappear, much like the other big donors that are poisoning our political system.

I think they're great in places like the port of LA which has a bazillion (big number) of idling trucks sitting around waiting. Not so good once that truck gets out of the port and drives to Colorado.
