Just beginning to figure out more liboid censorship, you can now post things like the above on FB without 30 days in the hole, but you can’t share it ( spread the truth)

How injured must your soul be to contain all that hatred?

The Hunter Biden Laptop story did not violate any of Twitter's screens, they knew it, but they suppressed it and banished the NYP anyway in the days before the election. The problem with the story was that it was true and politically damaging to The Big Guy. Can the new Twitter under Musk do any worse than that?

Depends on what you consider "worse".

Hate Speech’s Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find

Before Elon Musk bought Twitter, slurs against Black Americans showed up on the social media service an average of 1,282 times a day. After the billionaire became Twitter’s owner, they jumped to 3,876 times a day.

Slurs against gay men appeared on Twitter 2,506 times a day on average before Mr. Musk took over. Afterward, their use rose to 3,964 times a day.

And antisemitic posts referring to Jews or Judaism soared more than 61 percent in the two weeks after Mr. Musk acquired the site.

I don't doubt that's true. A more liberal policy towards free speech on Twitter means more free for decent users but also more free speech for assholes.

So... You got banned before for being an upstanding human being? I mean, it takes a really special kind of asshole to get thrown off this forum.
Actually it was a special kind of ass hole that threw me off

If hate speech can be tied to attacks on the targeted group, should the platform used to broadcast the speech be liable?
Are you talking about making the owners of this place liable for having Dog here, or some other violation of Section 230?

I think you're wrong and that the owners here shouldn't be responsible for Dog's speech, but Trump and Biden have expressed support for your idea of getting rid of Section 230 so it has at least achieved blessed bipartisan unity.

Arguably. If the incitement is part of a pattern that could have been stopped and the predictable result prevented, then yes, the platform that allowed stochastic terrorism could be. Even if it isn’t, the people who spread and repeat it are part of increasing the reach of it until it reaches the person who is willing to act on the bullshit.

Should FOX News Corp be viewing Elon as their new competitor for ownership of the GOP policy wing?

Rupert is too old, and Lachlan has been ambivalent about using his power to direct the GOP.

Republicans cannot be expected to come up with their own ideas; they need direction from a PR group with the data and distribution platform to understand and manipulate the body politic, and guide world events in ways that favor oligarch control.

With his shadow cast in many areas of tech and manufacturing, Elon now seems poised to strip FOX of its most valuable asset.
