Should FOX News Corp be viewing Elon as their new competitor for ownership of the GOP policy wing?

Rupert is too old, and Lachlan has been ambivalent about using his power to direct the GOP.

Republicans cannot be expected to come up with their own ideas; they need direction from a PR group with the data and distribution platform to understand and manipulate the body politic, and guide world events in ways that favor oligarch control.

With his shadow cast in many areas of tech and manufacturing, Elon now seems poised to strip FOX of its most valuable asset.
The Saudis factor into that discussion. They just need to topic shifted from anything they are doing to anything else.

The shit stirrers on Twitter are just the shiny objects…the monkey with cymbals that the world’s Best Citizens can use to occupy the brains of the slope pated.

No, I don't think it should. Should this forum be liable for the mass murder my speech here causes?
IMHO, your comments in support of those who commit violence are not quite the same as the hate-speech exploding on Twitter. But, nice try at trying to draw an equivalence.

As for Sol's comment, you might need some of this -

So, let’s say some campaign official asked Twitter not to show the dock pick.

How is that different than Hannity’s regular calls?

The key to good GOP bullshittery is taking something that happens all the time and making it terrible when democRATS do it. Email! Laptop! The horror!

Contacting an internet site to prevent publication of private pictures without permission? The nerve of Those People…don’t they know that pic came from (wait for it) a laptop!?!

You can tell how badly The Party wants to change the subject by the idiocy of the bullshit they feed to the slope pated.

Why would Trumps FBI do that?
You don't understand the narrative. ANYONE who accuses Republicans of anything is automatically deep state and is never too be trusted again. Until you are told by the Republicans that they can be trusted.

Twitter today, compared to Twitter of even a couple of weeks ago, is a right-wing fantasy factory. I see very few of the people I follow, but lots of people screeching their fascist bullshit. I have had people I block come back to life on my feed. Twitter is fucked, it's going to be fighting for market share with Gab.

Wet coast.
The content moderation on Twitter had much less to do with the so-called 1st Amendment "free speech" the RWNJ's use to justify hate speech than it did with advertising. Allow hate speech on your platform and the advertisers flee, as Elmo has discovered.

Same reason they colluded with the Clinton campaign to promote the Russia Russia Russia hoax.
I think they were "Trump's" FBI and DOJ during Clinton's campaign and the Russian cooperation to elect Trump was investigated and evidence presented by a Republican lead congressional committee and a Trump DOJ.

Actually, it's pretty clear to anyone paying attention that by purchasing Twitter Musk has stripped the Democratic party of a valuable asset.
