If more people (I mean good looking, non-obese, not excessively elderly) went around naked, then even fat old people might try to look a little better.... Learn by observation. If you're a fat old guy (like me) don't go out on the bech naked. The women aren't diggin' you. They're looking at the guy who's 2 years older than you who has flat abs, and tits smaller than your 12 y/o grand daughter.

Seems to me there were mortal and venial sins, but I don't care enough to look up which category nekkidness falls under. I lost Catholicism the first time I went skinny dipping on a warm summer night and ain't been back since.

When I worked for San Diego Lifeguard Service I would occasionally cover at Blacks Beach…..a local nude beach.

I never saw anyone nude I thought should be seen nude.

The really weird thing was more than one tourist…..way more than one……wanted a picture of their naked wife next to the lifeguard. It was just plain weird…..and kinda icky.

Only time I went to blacks beach was college chicks. Weren't California hot but hey, better than what you typically get there

Wasn’t that way in 1973 when my dad took me there when I was 12 so he could play volleyball. We walked up all the way from La Jolla Shores by Scripps pier. I lasted about three minutes holding my shorts in my hand and had to go swimming. Where I stayed for 30 mins while he played volleyball. How he knew it was up there is a mystery. Tide came up while we were up there and we had to wade around some rocky bits to get back to where the rest of the family was.

I guarded SD City seasonal summer of 76 after I got out of USN and some of summer 77 before I got picked up in FD. Perhaps your 12 year old libido was easily impressed or I was there on “off days”…..but….nope.

You’re right about the walk in from Shores past Scripps and the tide. There were usually only two, occasionally 3 guards there and at high tide there was no Jeep backup so you were on your own unless the state guards wandered in from the north side. All in all I mostly liked guarding there. Fair number of rescues….which is the whole point…..but very little in the way of good “cookouts” to mooch a little chow.
