Hopefully the RC learned a lesson and included a mark on the other side of the island rather than just being emphatic in their oral announcements. The wind died as the back half of the fleet was fighting the current at 1BI. Many DNFs and many others hung in there until the time limit expired. By far the latest flags-up time at the party in recent memory.
Saturday was generally glorious, particularly on a boat that reaches well. RC was quite emphatic that we sail AROUND the island.
Right. an oral announcement of something not in the NOR or SI means bubkus.Hopefully the RC learned a lesson and included a mark on the other side of the island rather than just being emphatic in their oral announcements.
Magan (J30) lost the top part of their mast above the headstay out by the Ruins. Caliente (Tripp 36) had their headstay pull out.I heard there was a dismasting today? any updates?
Realley? That is so sadde............sadly, Spring Off Soundings cancelled. still holding out hope for the Fall.
unfortunate and not an easy decision, but I think a lot more early season big ticket races will go the same way. I hope I can get crew for the Fall.sadly, Spring Off Soundings cancelled. still holding out hope for the Fall.
You all have a new rig in?Tomorrow looks like decent breeze. From what I see currently, if we don't finish before 3 on Saturday, there is going to be more drifting/bobbing rather than racing. At least the rain passed by today.
Headeng theire nowe.............looks like a good weekend so far, though that low off the Carolinas could have some impact. who doesn't love Block in the fall!!
No. Insurance company totaled the boat. You all have a new rig in?

I'll be there on a multi hull and the owner will be there on a borrowed J/109.
