Having retired last Christmas to cruise with my partner of 2.5 years I can now post my trailable cruiser. Photo here parked on our pontoon at our new retirement base here in South Australia on the Murray River near Lake Alexandrina and the Coorong.
Only 350 meters mast up on our trailer to our nearest public boat ramp and overlooking this ramp from our 2nd storey balcony 120 meters away by water. Overlooking boat ramps ( even infrequently used ones ) can provide some excellent comedy hours.
Now completed fully extended cruising equipping this 28 foot easily relocatable trailable, very shallow water, low bridge capable (with one person on water mast lowering), standing headroom at galley for me over 6 foot and carrying both lithium and agm batteries and generator, also has both electric and outboard auxiliaries. Set up to be self contained without reprovision for 1-2 months.

Not sure I can really call myself a cruiser yet, but have a few years of sea time on work ships, and been dreaming about cruising for 31 years—finally bought a 1995 Najad 440 in 2021, so here goes...Like many pandemic boats, she needed some TLC, but not bad, and she sails like a dream. In past year, we’ve done multiple repairs, upgrades, and some epic interisland trips among Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and about to do our first Alenuihaha double crossing on an Oahu-Hawaii Island loop. Our 11yr old daughter and 7yr old son love it, so continuing to gently foster that. Anyway, here she is, on anchor at Hakipuu in Kaneohe, Oahu…about as close as you can come to a South Pacific anchorage on Oahu…

Hull #1551 Antigua Race Week winner 1985. Interior is almost like new, and she lives on the hard all winter.
We love the boat, it's perfect for long distance between WA and AK on the outside.
