What a fucking joke:
I think I make out a jib on Oracle in that picture..Happie Jack said:The pic of BAR & OTUSA in that article shows both without jibs, powered up downwind.
They both have jibs, it's just the angle, you can just see a slither on both at the bottom of the wing.I think I make out a jib on Oracle in that picture..
Yep, and this was an interesting look too:I have to admit upwind in that 16k Westerly they looked damn slick to windward and dropped STJ in no time
Nope. They are allowed three degrees of movement for each rudder* - independent of the other teams.I thought there was supposed to be a maximum of 1 degrees difference in rake between teams-lot more than that between Artemis and Oracle......
+1 Blistering pace from OTUSA.I have to admit upwind in that 16k Westerly they looked damn slick to windward and dropped STJ in no time
Rig rake.........in degrees as per the measurement certificate?Nope. They are allowed three degrees of movement for each rudder* - independent of the other teams.![]()
Not only that but they can move the starting point for the three degree range day by day. So on one day the range might be 0-3°, on another 2-5°.
So they said anyway.....
* in the rake axis
Found it in post 168 in the WING thread:Rig rake.........in degrees as per the measurement certificate?
Bora and the other guy discussed varying rakes in that SButt piece, been wondering too about it given that rule.Found it in post 168 in the WING thread:
1. Forestay tension shall be between 3.2t and 3.4t and wing rake shall be between 4
degrees and 5 degrees, per Drawing ACC-W-1001 REVC. There is no other specified

Much greater difference than this visible in the video above between Artemis and Oracle........(post 4924 above)
