I have known of Scott Tempesta since the late 70's in San Diego, Raced against him in the OLD MORC Class in San Diego, He raced a Catalina Capri 30 named Vladaimr, Black Hull white deck, I raced a Santana 30/30GP, others where Tim Hanky Bustin Loose, Phil Majestro, Touch, among others, I sailed against him back in the OLD IOR fleet in San Diego,

He Was an ASSHOLE then and he still Is an ASSHOLE, if you follow his Tweets, all he does is bragg about his greatness and how bad the rest of Mankind is FUCKED UP. I for one am feed up with his SELF-RIGHTOUSNESS and that he is the only one with the right IDEA, As for I the only good idea SCOTT TEMPESTA ever had was starting Sailing Anarchy, and I dare him to respond to this post.

I don't know you or Scott, but a few points from an objective perspective;

First, I think you should stop sugar coating everything and just state what you think - if he's a man he can take it.

Second, I wouldn't call sailing around in a FT10 giving people like Snapper a hard time and getting shit for it living the good life. I'd be embarrassed to own a Chinese junk sport boat that has had numerous design and build issues. Not too many designs have a following that clearly dislikes them, but the FT 10 apparently does, for whatever reason (s). To be fair, I've not sailed one.

If he was blasting around the Medcup in a TP52 campaign winning everything, I'd agree with you, but he's not.

Speaking of which, that brings back a very good memory. Does anyone know who use to sail a beautifully restored Chinese Junk and had it docked at the 34th Street Marina in NYC in the early 1990s? He was a nice fellow, supposedly had a grand piano in there, but I never went below deck. he was docked next to my friend's boat.

If it helps, I think Illroy later became the dockmaster there.
