I'm pretty impressed that Azure and CruzSea both managed to come out of their northerly positions looking pretty good on their competitors. A day or so ago, I thought CruzSea was hosed as they kept working north.

Zvi and Blu are having a tight race this morning. It looks like Pyewacket is looking looking for a hot angle to drive home on. How far North of rum will they go? The J-125's are out in front of Westerly. Waterline doesn't pay in light and flukey.

Some interesting moves yesterday and last night. Azure extended their lead substantially. Limitless has to give up ground to Spindrift in lighter conditions and less favourable heading. Rufless took a gybe away from Hamachi and gives up time in the process. Blue, is ripping ('scuse the pun), but needs at least 7 more hours maybe more to correct out on the J's. Pyewacket is a yawn event. Foamy is losing the game plan a bit and our own @Roluer still leads that division.

I have never seen a Moore 24 in real life. Pretty amazing performance when you start to think about only 24 feet.
And not exactly a 2022 design. Someone knew what they were drawing.
On the other end, Rage. That Wylie has been around for what seems like forever.
Anyway, fun to follow.

Below the waterline they have a wide flat V from the stem back to the keel, almost like a scow that got slightly pinched, that keeps the bow up, out of the next wave, great for planing sleigh rides, perfect for the sitch. Weird looking in that they have a flush deck, no house, a little "cockpit" to hook your feet in, they dont scoop up any water.

Live tracking now, well at least every hour it seems. Blue and Rufless gybed away for better pressure and angle later. I wondered if there was a glitch but, routing confirms this to be the smart move. Got to think that Hamachi will have to follow to protect their position. Blue has just under two days to gain an additional 8 hours to correct, I think. Spindrift looking good vs Limitless in the E37's. Not plotted in my routing stuff, but Westerly and Rage are going at it. Meanwhile our own @Roleur is sending it.

Hamachi is sailing down the course well they are gybing on every shift, or at least that’s what they did in 2019 when we were racing against them on the hammer. I tried to get leverage on the west side of the course but they played the shifts well and we ran out of race track.

Yep. I remember well. We couldn't get the Turbo camper to hang with the Turbo wagons!

I know I caught a bunch of shit for this earlier but I’m not surprised. The protest is for not sailing in ORR rating configuration for sails and other measured aspects or something like that (per the protest form). While I mentioned something about Ruffless earlier in the thread and I am glad this will get some discussion but it is a pretty ballsy protest coming from a boat that hasn’t re Weighed/measured in 8 years. Skip Navigated an amazing race his first and last third we’re a thing of beauty they got in a bit of trouble in the middle but stayed in it. I have done a Transpac with him on an STP65 great guy and very smart. So congratulations to the whole team they sailed an amazing race nonquestion. While it sucks for Ruffless and I hope they don’t get chucked I am glad the J125 fleet will be forced to discuss this. Nobody wants to be the guy that files that protest but it needed to be done. Fire suit on… again.
