Pittwater to Coffs 2023

Did I miss something or is there no thread for Coffs? I scrolled a few pages. Mind you its stupid o’clock and I’m on tbe dunny squinting through one eye so I might have overlooked it. I’m sure someone wull set me straight if i’m being a dufus.
Anyways, I was excited because Orma 60 Rex seems to be close to record pace with a couple dozen miles to go and sitting on 20ish knots. Might get close.
Meanwhile Commanche unlikely to get vlose to Black Jack’s record by my calcs and Clogs and the Cookson 50 are pretty darn impressive IMO.

Your post downplays the 2h results.

Overall IRC, 2h yachts dominated the to 10 coming 1,2,4,6 & 7 and 2h place 1-5 in ORC.

Coffs - Ocean Race – Trofeo​ In a predominantly light wind race, Dale Mitchell and his crew on Rex, the ORMA 60 multihull from Queensland broke the multihull record in the 2023 Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race – by 5 seconds. That Cloggy must be getting a bit old for 2-handed racing!
I believe he sailed to Aus with my granddad, in the mid eighties on that beautiful Frers 80' "Volador". Apparently he was always good humoured and upbeat, and not the typical stubborn Lowlander.
