OP wants help identifying someone that sabotaged a boat for “revenge” but wants to remain anonymous for “legal reasons”. Why is there a clip of the person in the club but nothing from the boat video? Revenge for what? Wouldn’t you go to the race organizer and the club management with this? How does the OP know this person is a sailor but not know who he is? He would be easily identified if there was really video of him. Weak.

FYI-- in the bay area the San Francisco Yacht club, in marin, is referred to as "SFYC". It appears the attempted murder occured at "StFYC". ie "The St Fancy" or the "The Frantic" or "Saint Francis Yacht Club".

Where did he say he mounted security cameras around their boat? StFYC has lots of cameras given their location in the shit-encrusted progressive haven know as Frisco.

There was likely some sort of boat on boat situation that left one or both parties displeased. Probably didn't rise to the level of taking vengeful and illegal action(s) that could result in loss of life. And yes, unexpectedly being hurled into SF bay w/ full gear on carries w/ it a possibility of loss of life.

MISCONDUCT
Obligation not to Commit Misconduct; Resolution
  1. (a) A competitor, boat owner or support person shall not commit an act of misconduct.
  2. (b) Misconduct is:
    1. (1) conduct that is a breach of good manners, a breach of good sportsmanship, or unethical behaviour;

A CCTV security photo of guy walking into a clubhouse during an event is - "the guy who fucked with your boat"?
Show the boat video - otherwise this is backwards as previously described?
Transparency - sorry wrong coast.

Hank as you may not be aware the harshest penalty that can be given in the sport of sailing has nothing to do with the RRS.
It is a global flaming on Sailing Anarchy.
To test this, kick a table over at check in or threaten to punch someone in the Royal Hong Kong YC.

On the other hand, posting a picture of someone and claiming that they sabotaged safety gear, if in fact they did not, is absolutely misconduct.

Not having any of the information, we have no idea which it is, eh?

He has video of the individual boarding his boat, which is a crime. Not posting video of the individual boarding his boat, does not turn his attempts to identify the individual into any sort of misconduct.
