Ok how does one pronounce "whiskey" versus "whisky" so you know that when someone says "whiskey" they scotch whiskey?

This problemI has really got me wound up.

Scotch is wrong I have Scottish buddy who warned me about the use of this term in Glasgow where he from he said something about "dragging the canal for a body" in his warning also Oban is "Obin" not OBAAN.

The Scottish are touchy bunch hence my trepidation.

no-one says 'Scot's Whisky' (except perhaps in America..)

Scottish would be far better, however it is usually called Scotch.
