It's not strange at all that topics on PA follow what's most common in the news. Now, why doesn't the news bring up the Yemeni war? I dunno but I'd guess the Saudis are spending money to keep it down.

The Bay Area has an actual left wing radio station and they were opposed to the Iraq War back in 2003. So I checked their Ukraine coverage. The Pacifica Evening News coverage of the invasion of Ukraine is pretty much the same as anything you'd hear on PBS NewsHour.

Indeed, I think their coverage was quite good, covering the war, Ukrainians getting turned back at the Mexican border and coverage of Chernobyl. You can listen to the first 20 minutes or so and decide for yourself:

I'm a Bernie fan, but he was Putin curious before the war. To his credit, he has changed his tune. What did the economist Paul Samuelson say, Well when events change, I change my mind. What do you do?

I love AOC but she reaches for the sort of argument Tom would trot out, the 4A against civil forfeiture. I'm pretty sure that only applies in the US and not on the high seas by other govmints. I hope she sees her way to changing her mind.

That is curious indeed - and as we have seen here and elsewhere, the few who challenge aspects of the war are shouted down even more so than we were in 2003. 

I posted an article from Princeton Law's Richard Falk who argues that negotiations are urgent, and that Russia needs an off-ramp. I agree with him. 

Some lefties are arguing that, but as you say, not very many. 

And as an internationalist I argue that Yemeni lives are just as important as Ukr or US lives.
