It's not our war, NATO will move against Putin, and NATO has nukes. More likely, Putin will use small nukes and attempt to scare Ukraine into shutting down its war. If Putin does use a nuke, my guess the people and military of Russia will shut Putin down.

1) a good percentage of Russia's nukes are probably non functional
2) the US military knows where every one of them is, and has a launch plan ready to go that will send high-speed cruise missiles to take out every launch site
3) a Russian nuclear strike is unlikely anyway, as even if Putin orders one there are people in the chain of command that will probably stop it
4) Putin is likely to experience his own brand of special tea, or a failed balcony railing in the near-ish future anyway
