Some sounds cost a lot of money to hear. The price of this bang is yet to be determined, but chances are if you have to ask- you probably can’t afford it. This photo was taken at the point of impact between the Santa Cruz 70’s Grand Illusion and Pyewacket at the Campbell Cup in Long Beach this past weekend. And here is  another shot post impact.

Roy Disney was struck by the bow section and has sustained a shoulder injury that required immediate medical attention. Pyewacket will undergo repairs and is expected to return to racing next year. We wish Mr. Disney a full and speedy recovery

I think the hit to Mr Disney's shoulder is going to cost a hell of a lot more that the hit to the boat ;)

When Maverick T-boned Blondie at the BBS years ago... the boat was pretty much written off.  IIRC Bill Lee said it could be fixed but it'd never be "right".

no offense but I thought RD was dead,  so for him to sustain a shoulder injury  makes me feel good.   (errr, better??    you know what I mean...)

a little duct tape and gorilla glue and she'll be fine

1997 Andrews/Dencho, originally Magnitude I think...
That was pretty turboed.  I can never keep track of which boat used to be which boat.  The 95 Cheval was a sweet boat and was/is a level 70 rater.  Thats the one that won the Barn Door even after the mast fell down.
