Race Day 1

Clean's a M24 Snob- We want to hear about Pegasus beating Liquor Box in the 2nd T-10 race.
Thank goodness LZ is keeping us to date with his website:

Eat me mofo - there are 21 of the little bastards, so it's fun to watch. I ain't no snob, but this 21 footer we're on ain't the best thing in the world for the offshore course. We'll get the stories later, count on it.

I'd bet an appropraite wad on positions being shuffled once the wind pipes-up.

Nice job Mer, Clean and LZ! Look forward to continuing coverage. If see any of the peeps from Rhumb Punch. I have one question; WTF over?

Melges Finishes:

1) 450 - Spray

2) 489 - Blur

3) 568 - brilliant

4) 626 Wireless

5) 136 - Creative Juice (NICE!)

6) 245 Riot Act

7) 592 - Gill

8) 687 - Fire water

9) 497 - Marshmellow

10) 274 Big sky

Fu was a couple back, sorry Nate!

Looks like maybe one more race, but it's getting late. With sunday's forecast looking like minimum 25 knots and maybe more, I think they might really try to get in three here.

Alright, they're going for three races. We've got to go drop someone off then we'll come back out to get you the info. Don't go away, ya junkies. Seriously, thanks for checking in here. If no one would watch, we wouldn't get to have so much fun.

Cap's a buddy of mine, too. Shouldn't be "too" difficult to well in that class, but Cap's renowned for some great clusterf*cks, on and off the water...

That's interesting... I am posting the pictures, can see them on my screen and click on them with no error message...
Dawg, any thoughts?

LZ

I've got no problems with photos, embedded or stand alone.

Great job guys!

Cheers,

The conditions really were pretty nice out there. At first, I was happy to not be racing - then we went inshore, the breeze filled in, and DAMN...

Anyways, here are some pics of the harbor course:

Thanks to my lovely wife, who thinks I'm an asshole right about now...

I just got a good report on the last J/24 start on the harbor course. It was an awesome start - the current was flooding hard, and the RC had an I-flag up. The wind picked up, and eight j/24s were over early. And as they waited for a General Recall...but wait, no general! All eight had to go back around the pin and re-start.

The melges had a huge pile-up at the top mark, same race. Current just screwing with everyone's heads - clean, no paint, but still good fun.

Report from Hike, Bitches - he's on the phone as he's bringing the jib down.

Remedy (Donovan 27), had wheels today - Rhumb Punch (with HB) needs a little more, and no more OCS's (like race 3). HB says that Remedy is going to be tough- they make no mistakes (so far) and they 've got a fast boat. He just had to go and fold some sails.

Alright y'all - I'm going to walk the docks to get some info from the folks - we don't really know what happened offshore after Race 1 so we'll go and find out. It's interesting that the Melges 32's are 1-2 in PHRF A. Nice job, y'all.
