I've been through - in 1992 - the factory where the first 6,000 P1800s were built - the Jensen factory in West Bromwich, England.

I ran a Jensen Interceptor III for 29 years.  Sold it a few years ago to move overseas

I still remember the car magazine (which one?) headline to an article when they removed the tax exempt status from the Jensen FF as a FWD

"FF today, FA tomorrow"

I wonder if the original design was nothing more then just a solution to make a road in a step tight spot. 

I've been there in a rental car, wondering if my full size 3/4 ton 8' bed mega cab pick up could make even one turn?
