Keep in mind that she came after being booted off WB forum likely for not being nice enough. She has stated that she enjoys irritating others. That happens here often enough without it being your reason for being.

She's cut and paste politically which none of us need, and she's got that damaged goods syndrome going full blast. That nasty streak has diminished of late but just like Randy, the nasty streak will be back. Bad pennies both.

Edit: take Mel out of the equation and few here are anti- OZ at all.

The Tall Poppy syndrome is a real thing here. Interestingly the Japanese have a similar saying that roughly translates to 'the nail that stands higher than the rest gets hammered down'. My politics lie very central on most issues - probably slightly to the left of centre given my thoughts on gun control and gay rights, yet I am considered to be hard rightie by many of the Aussies on here.

I did't mind Mel until I realised she was speaking utter tripe over some things I happen to know a lot about, and care about. Present facts and she doubles down, no interest in fact or truth and too lazy to even do the most basic fact checking. 

I have no issue with people airing their points of view, or even fucking things up and getting things wrong.

Mel's problem is she has an obsession with quantity, not quality. In the process just make up shit to pad her desires, even if that taints good people. Call her out on it and it will be batting eyelids and crying poor little me. I've met people like her, they besmirch good people by stealth.  

She's the only one on Anarchy I now have on ignore, and it is so much the better for it.

Meli has been here a lot longer than me and likely to be here a lot longer than me too - I have a low boredom threshold. My main criticism of her is the seeming inability to actually use a library despite working in one, but I expect that's the fear of having to actually change her opinions in the light of documented events.

As for Random he didn't even have the virtue of being funny. Endless stupid memes aren't actually content and arguing with conspiracy nutcases is a complete waste of time.
