In the great State of Georgia (Michigan will be the national champions) the law required that a woman's word was not enough. In the past, there had to be additional evidence. As a practical matter, that may still be true. But legally, the testimony of a single witness, if believed, is sufficient. A good lawyer could convict him. A good jury would.

You see that is the difference between Australian and the US. Here a good lawyer would ensure that a person will not be found guilty on the basis of one persons uncorroborated version of events. You and Ease are confusing 'Beyond reasonable doubt' which is the standard for a criminal case with 'balance of probabilities' (or as you Americans call it 'Preponderance of the evidence') that applies in a civil matters. So your 'Good Lawyer' could only convince a 'Good jury' that the person is guilty based on one person word, if the defendants Lawyer was an 'hopeless arseclown' and the Jury is entirely composed of 'Biased Brain dead fuckwits'.
This is the situation now, but in two years when the 'good people' of the Divided States of America re-elect Donald Trump, and he revokes your constitution, The handmaids tale will be a documentary, not a fictional TV show.

So it’s a deflection to have not seen a video that is hidden from me unless I peek. I do occasionally peek, but not so often unless posts replying to thin air get my interest.
So the video is about the pollies handling of the incident? That they handled it so badly at the time is nothing new.
I even said earlier on that BH probably should sue her employers, but I highlighted that it should have been done on a different timeline. I.e. go to police, proceed with case, go to trial, verdict, THEN go to media/book deal/sue employer etc….
But she chose a different and questionable path.
