I have some older Raymarine ST 60's The Tridata is used as the master instrument and as such the calibration master. The problem is the calibration returns to factory defaults every time I turn the electronics off. Is there a battery in the unit that can be replaced?

Thanks.

Assuming you have a GPS, it's pretty easy to sync Ray Tridata speed thru water to SOG. Check the manual. Just do it in slack water. On another note, the number to the left of the decimal is not so important, the 2 to the right are as relates to tuning for speed. You should really never be a knot off of target

Yes

I experienced that also

Perhaps it has no internal battery for memory

Best ask raymarine

The setup memory appears to be within the microprocessor IC. That chip is relatively easy to replace by a technician. New IC can probably be purchased. However the software would need to be extracted from the old chip and installed on the new. Might be locked, too. I could have done that back in the day. That is complicated enough to make the project uneconomical. Tridata only $250 on eBay...

When new …when the power was disconnected all settings were Lost

since the yacht had a full B and G package I never investigated

this raymarine was only used to operate an aft facing depth finder plus standard NMEA data ..it was used because of cost and split screen

frustrating to loose depth offset at power down
