I have a 60 series instrument cluster.  Had been working just fine up to this season and then the wind dropped out.  See the photos.  Any ideas?  Connections are clean and the network is up on all other instruments.

Sailman -  I have exactly the same issue ,although mine works once in a while for a few minutes, but mostly is dead. Did you ever get to the bottom of your issue ?

Try up at the mast head where the anemometer disconnects from the base. These contacts can become corroded (even though sealed by an O-ring) This is often the case if the fitting is tightened much beyond 'finger tight' . It is possible for the housing to develop cracks when being tightened down some vigor. It's an o-ring seal so does not need much tightening. It's an acknowledged problem for Ray.

You should first maybe check the resistance values for the anemometer wires at the base of the mast. (where you break them when lowering the mast), Ray has a chart for these. There is one in the attached document for the newer wind sensor, look for one for yours

FWIW - mine started working again.....  fingers crossed they keep working.  Looking at a new system anyhow,  my AP Control Head is shot as are several of my displays.  Start replacing those off eBay and you almost might as well get new technology.

Soho,  right now I suspect corrosion at the mast head unit.  When I get a chance to send someone up in the spring I will report back

had same issue. the base for the masthead wand was cracked and water got in corroded all the connecters.. sometimes when underway and would wiggle around, it would light up and work for a few minutes.. then die again. old wand is good.. bought new baseplate for the mast and still need to get up there and attach it and run the cable down the spar. but when I connect it all up on deck the new baseplate and old wand(anomometer) work perfectly.

It was ospreys that did mine in.
