Magic have almost caught ETNZ in terms of time on the water, but before their breakage ETNZ had amassed 674 (88% foiling) manoeuvres to Magic's 279 (60% foiling). Part of that difference will be the power demands of a crewed AC75 versus battery powered AC40 on auto-ride height.
Despite impressive time of the water Alinghi still struggled with low manoeuvre rates in November, but did improve from campaign average. They stopped sailing mid-month, presumably for upgrades (place your bets: self tacking jib? cyclors?).

Given that all the competitors last time were pretty fluent in foiling tacks and gybes in medium airs by the end, I don't think there is much to be gained there. So I don't think the stats for such manoeuvres are especially relevant now. IMO where the important gains will be made is more likely to be
1) Top speeds- i.e. raising cavitation speeds, or minimising impact of it
2) Low wind take-offs and manoeuvres
3) Stability in waves
4) Fractional differences in medium conditions (e.g. aero in boom)
And none of these boats are going to race for the AC itself. So at the moment its all about what the boats learn for that design. All the foiling manoeuvres in the world in a bog standard AC40 (especially with auto-pilot on) won't teach you much about any of those

Let's pray that it does NOT happen that way!
Too many races in Auckland were ridiculous, one boat foiling and the other not. Races between foilers require that they both be foiling. ETNZ was WRONG to not raise the lower wind limits as requested by Challengers.

For those who are not inclined to read it, a summary is that it innumerates a few changes to the FCS system: possible specification of an anti-titanium contamination coating, shortened stroke in actuators, different seals, new wire harness, same batteries..

Indeed dealing with swell height with minimum loss of vmg will also be a big factor - interesting.

when interesting becomes pot luck it ceases to be interesting .
can Only hope the longer foil arms give the 75s enough height, the current ones certainly don’t. Boats constantly splashing down will make a mockery of the teams, talent and entire spectacle.
